Former world number one Roger Federer recovered from loosing the first two sets before qualifying to the quarterfinals of Roland Garros Monday by beating German Tommy Haas, 6-7 (4), 5-7, 6-4, 6-0, 6-2 in 3 hours and 7 minutes in the central court.
The Swiss, head of series number 2, finalist of the tournament in the last three years will meet in the next round the winner of the math between the French Gael Monfils and the American Andy Roddick.
After the defeat of the Nadal against Robin Soderling, Federer seemed to play his last match in Roland Garros, when he was loosing two sets to zero, and 3-4 in the third set. Everything changed when he saved a 3-5 ball in the third set and equalizing 4 to 4.
The match ended at the score of 6-7,5-7,6-4,6-0,6-2 for Federer who advances to the quarterfinals
